Shiloh Walker is having a contest to win a Sony reader. Here's how you do it.

Want to Win a Sony Reader?

~*~

So here’s the deal.

Buy this book:

No Longer Mine
And you can win this: (color optional)

Sony Pocket
________________

Easy, right?

Buy it during the first two weeks of release ~between now and 5/12) and send me a copy of the receipt (block out all sensitive data) to contest4shiloh(at)gmail.com. Put PURCHASE ENTRY in the subject line. This will get you 100 entries into the contest.
Have an active** blog? You can also blog about the contest. Once you blog about it, post a link here AND email me the link @ contest4shiloh(at)gmail.com. Put BLOG ENTRY in the subject line. (no facebook/myspace please**). This will you get 20 entries into the contest.
For the no purchase option, you can send a postcard, limited to one per household, to Shiloh Walker POB 976 Jeff, IN 47131. These must be postmarked by 5/3/2010 to qualify. This will get you 1 entry into the contest.
Yeah, I know… the people who blog and/or buy have the best odds. But…well, that’s kind of how things work.

Da Rules:

You can enter all three ways if you choose.
Yes, this contest is open to those outside the country-however, I realize the Sony Reader may not be ideal for international winners, and should an international winner be drawn, I do have an alternative in mind-however, that alternative will only be offered in the event an international winner is drawn.
I reserve the right to delete suspicious entries.
Do NOT post this contest to sweepstakes or contest sites. In the event this happens, I reserve the right to end the contest without drawing a winner and without giving away the prize.
By entering any of my contests, you attest that you are eighteen, or the age of majority in your place of residence.
It is your responsibility to check back and see if you’ve won. The winner’s name will be announced near the end of May to allow the mailed receipts time to arrive.
One postcard entry per household. One entry per blog. If you have five active blogs and post it to all five, that’s cool and will net you 20 entries for each blog, provided you notify me. If you feel like buying five copies of No Longer Mine? Go for it. Just make sure you send me the appropriate documentation. It will get you 100 entries for each copy you purchase.
And it dawned on me…yes, to get the 100 entries, you do have to purchase this revised version as the contest is to promote the new, revised, shiny, improved re-release.
Read my disclaimer for the other rules.

So Whatcha Readin'?

Sometimes there is nothing better than hitting a crack den - I mean bookstore - to see what new goodies that have out on the shelves. I just love new release day :)

Right now, I'm working on the new Alyssa Day, Atlantis Reedeemed in her Warriors of Poseidon series.

The blurb:
The fate of Atlantis is on the line-and the future of the world is at stake... Poseidon's warriors have learned that the battle to protect humanity produces unexpected enemies-and alliances. But none more unexpected than the bond between a cursed Atlantean warrior and a woman whose sight surpasses any lie.
So tell me, what new book do you have your nose stuck in?

OT: The ABDC5 Finale

I have to admit, I've never really watched MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. To let you know how out of touch I am with this show, I didn't even know that the JabbaWockeeZ were the winners of the first ABDC. I had previously seen them in a music video but just thought it was some costuming for the video, not that it was an actual calling card for an awesome dance crew. I mean it wasn't Slipknot or Mushroomhead odd, but kinda odd for hiphop.

But I digress.

Thanks to MTV2 constantly replaying it on the weekends, I stumbled upon this show and immediately became hooked.

I have watched every episode, impressed by each of the crews (Saltare-represent!) and watched as crews fell away until it was down to Poreotix and Blueprint Cru.

BLUEPRINT CRU WAS ROBBED!!!

Their performances were always tight and it was obvious that the judges loved them, but sadly, they lost. They made it sound like the votes were running close, but Poreotix managed to get the win.

I really hope that this isn't the last that we see of this crew from Montreal, Canada. The were awesome.

I still think they were robbed!

There. I think I feel better now.

Series, how long is too long?

I have recently decided to delve into the JD Robb series. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I decided starting a series with 20 some books in it was a good idea. Anyway, it got me thinking how long is too long for a series? Personally I have to finish a series once I start it, I just can't quit half way through. Like the the Dark Hunter series, even though the later books lack what the earlier books had, I find myself still buying the books, its the same with the BDB books, the later books aren't the same but I'll still buy and read the new one. How about you, do you like the shorter series? longer series? not a fan of series at all?
